The beautiful thing about their songs are that the lyrics are taken from the Old Testament. The lyrics for this song are taken from Isaiah 53:5.

The prophecy in Isaiah speaks of Jesus, the suffering servant who was the perfect Lamb that was slain for us, that we might once again be at peace with God - a relationship that needed to be healed since the time Adam sinned.
